TOP STORY OF THE WEEK: Beware of smash-and-grabs [VIDEO]

A video of a smash-and-grab incident during peak rush-hour has emerged.

The video shows a vehicle in the far right stuck in slow-moving traffic when a man approaches the car.

The video was shot by a fellow motorist behind the victims’ car on what appears the to be the M1 highway heading towards the city.

The one suspect seems to smash the window in and manages to open the driver’s side door and immediately enters the car.

As the car rolls forward across the next lane, another man approaches and keeps the door open while his accomplice is inside the vehicle.

Shortly afterwards the suspects run away with what seems to be a bag.

It is unknown when the video was taken, what was stolen during the incident or whether the men were armed.
