First annual Un-conference Indaba in Fourways

Fourways Community Chamber of Commerce is organising its first annual Un-conference Indaba in Fourways. The unconventional one-day think-tank workshop will focus on how to adapt and thrive in times of rapid change and challenges.

Forward thinking business decision makers and community leaders are invited to brainstorm innovative solutions to economic, political and industry-specific challenges that affect their organisations.

“The stimulating one-day un-conference process is designed to unleash the collective intellectual capital of local economy participants into a powerful force to unlock innovative cross-industry solutions to frustrating business challenges,” informed organiser, Monique van der Meer who said, “Participants can expect the unexpected from a spontaneous free-flow of creative ideas, opportunities, discussions, collaborations and inspiration. It is very exciting,” said Van der Meer.

Fourways Chamber is recognised for having innovated and perfected the no-rules, no-regulations, no-restrictions, 90-minute business ideas and opportunities.

“I have had the privilege of serving in leadership positions in government, public institutions and industry associations, corporate, consulting and philanthropic organisations. I have never come across the kind of energy that I have experienced at the Fourways Chamber,” said Indaba MC Sabelo Mahlalela, chairman of the Ziya Group.

“It is humbling that we can witness such a positive attitude, friendship and mutual respect of one another in this chamber. This is a special network with a difference. It is a network where everyone wins. Once you are part of this network, your business will never be the same. The one-day un-conference participants will have all this quality background as a foundation for a fascinating day,” explained Mahlalela.

Limited to a maximum of 300 participants.
