Local musician offers fans the chance to star in her music video before heading back to LA

South African born singer Cara Frew has performed at the Ultra music festival, both in SA and Miami, and this year was on stage at the Coachella Festival in LA.

Cara Frew is sashaying her way from South Africa to the big lights of Los Angeles with her alluring voice. The talented 25-year-old has taken the local music industry by storm with her enthralling pop vocals which she mixes with the soothing sounds of African-influenced beats.

After studying at the Malie Kelly vocal academy in South Africa, Frew decided to take her dreams to the City of Angels and enrolled at the Song Writing School to develop her talent even further. No stranger to rubbing shoulders with the music elite, she collaborated with Africa’s biggest exports, world-renowned DJ and music producer Black Coffee.

‘I’ll find you’ was the first release of Black Coffee’s 2015 album and allowed Frew the opportunity to perform at the South African Sonar and Ultra music festivals as well as the Ultra music festival in Miami.

Cara’s latest feature is a collaboration with United States based DJ’s SNBRN & BLU-J. She joined the D.J.’s on stage at the celebrity favoured Coachella festival in Los Angeles this year.

Cara is signed to Sony Music Entertainment, moves between London and South Africa and spends most of her time travelling the globe performing on stage or working in the studio on her new material.

Cara’s newest single, Dance is set to be released at the end of June and she is asking fans to send a snippet of them dancing to her newest track to stand a chance to be featured in the final music video.

“I wrote Dance the morning I found out that a close friend of mine was a drug addict. It made me stop and think. I wanted the song to be uplifting, about making the most of your life, always looking for that silver lining and loving yourself,” says Frew.

To enter, fans must email a high-quality landscape video of themselves dancing to a preview of her newest single ‘Dance’ to carafrewinfo@gmail.com before the 21st of June 2017. The preview will be available on Soundcloud.
