The South African version of Tall Stories’ The Gruffalo, which is currently playing in London’s West End, will begin its epic showcase on 11 April at the Auto and General Theatre on the Square in Sandton.

The picture book, The Gruffalo, written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler in 1999, is a worldwide phenomenon, having sold more than 13 million copies in 75 editions worldwide.

The stage production brings the characters of The Gruffalo to life while remaining true to the story.
