BRYANSTON – An armed robbery took place in a woman’s driveway in Bryanston.

This following a similar incident that took place in Riverclub where a woman was ambushed and robbed while parked outside on her driveway.

“My daughter and I had just returned from shopping in Hyde Park and then we were tailgated into our complex by a Subaru,” said the latest victim, Glynn Lambooy.

She added that the three armed suspects were dressed in dark clothing and balaclavas when they ambushed her and her daughter.

“The whole thing took four minutes. They took our diamond rings, shopping bags, cellphones and bags,” she explained.

Lambooy said she later found out from police after they had obtained the CCTV footage that the Subaru was a stolen company car. She said she had opened a case with the police, however, she did not have her case number yet.

“This reminds me of how we had the Rolex gang, now we have the driveway robbers,” added Lambooy.

“I just want to warn other community members to be careful. This can happen to anyone.”
