Taxi overturns on Sandton Drive, multiple injuries

SANDTON - A taxi overturned on Sandton Drive on the morning of 18 January.

According to Emer-G-Med, paramedics responded to reports of an accident involving a taxi just off Grayston Drive in Sandton.

The taxi driver had reportedly lost control of his vehicle while taking the slipway, causing the taxi to overturn.

The driver of the taxi sustained moderate injuries, while the only other occupant of the taxi sustained serious injuries and needed advanced life support.

Both the taxi driver and his passenger were stabilised on-scene before being transported to hospital for further medical care.

Local authorities were on scene to investigate the accident.
