JOBURG – Hailed as one of the oldest races in Johannesburg, the Rand Athletic Club City Lodge Tough One 32km road race returned to Johannesburg.

The annual race took thousands of runners through various routes around Johannesburg North, ending at the Old Parktonian Sports Club. The route went through Fourways, Bryanston, Witkoppen, Douglasdale, Bordeaux and Craighall.

The Tough One 32km road race is in its 42nd year and has been sponsored by the City Lodge Hotel Group for nine consecutive years.

"Be the change you want to see in the world" These wise words, uttered by a great icon of the 20th century, have become my mantra as I set out to achieve my goal of making a difference in the world. I am a young, ambitious, driven, passionate journalist who lives and breathes hard news, current affairs, politics, entertainment and yes, gossip. I hope to use my voice to affect change and hold the corrupt and unscrupulous to account. Apart from scouring the streets for news, I enjoy reading, cooking, shopping and going to church.
